This is an in-office treatment alternative to surgical
removal of large veins. The vein is visually monitored
on an ultrasound screen while a tiny needle is advanced
into the vein. The sclerosant material is injected under
ultrasound control. This enables sclerotherapy treatment
of veins that can't be seen because they are deep below
the surface of the skin and would otherwise require
surgical removal. New advances in the sclerosing material
including "Foam" made it possible to treat
large veins.
Ultrasound guided Sclerotherapy is best for people with:

Large varicose veins
Leg ulcers
Skin conditions (such as pigmentation or eczema).
Incompetent perforating veins. |
